Rockwell Petroleum has recently built its US headquarters in Sheridan,
WY. Rockwell currently has over 50 executives based in its Sheridan
office and has plans of bringing I up to 200 more. This of course, is
great news for Sheridan. Historically, the town’s economy has been
based on agriculture, mining, and tourism, so attracting a corporate
headquarters opens a whole new exciting realm of possibilities.
Rockwell Petroleum specializes in drilling techniques that allow the
company to extract oil where others have failed. Rockwell goes into old
and seemingly depleted oil fields and extracts oil that at one time was
either impossible or not cost effective to do. It only makes sense that
Rockwell based its new headquarters in Sheridan, because Wyoming
is becoming one of the nation’s top energy producing states.
Sheridan as a town brings a lot to the table. Sheridan enjoys a high
standard of living when you consider factors like the crime rate, travel
time to work, air pollution, and quality of schools. Recreation
opportunities in Sheridan are plentiful as well: three golf courses,
including the award winning Powder Horn, great hunting and fishing,
world class polo, rodeo, and spectacular open spaces and mountains
to roam in.

arrivals. Several new subdivisions are being planned to avoid a housing
crunch. Rentals are already in great demand. A new chapter has
