Three Sheridan, Wyoming golf courses keep local and visiting
golfers playing their favorite sport several months out of the
year. Kendrick municipal course is an 18 hole course just west
of town. Sheridan Country Club has only nine holes, but has
plans to build nine more. The Powder Horn is a challenging new
27 hole course, and has won several awards from national golf
magazines.
Sheridan, Wyoming golf is affordable. Green fees at the
Kendrick course are under $20 for 18 holes. Cart rentals are
available for under $20 as well. You can play the semi-private
Sheridan Country Club for under $50, and memberships are
available at a very reasonable price. The Powder Horn is a bit
pricier – 18 hole play ranges from $61 to $81 depending upon
the time of year.
The Powder Horn has recently completed a multi million dollar
club house with a pool, workout room, full service restaurant
and bar, and banquet facilities. Lots at the Powder Horn are still
available, as are spec homes and town homes on the golf
course. Home sites surrounding the other two golf courses are
available as well. The new Powder Horn was recently named
Golfweek Magazine’s best residential golf course of
2007.

state championships have been held in Sheridan attracting
