but new Sheridan medical facilities and specialists make Sheridan
the place to go for medical care. Sheridan Memorial Hospital has
invested millions of dollars into the new Medical Arts Complex.
Sheridan memorial hospital employs over 450 people and has 40
full time doctors on staff, and several visiting physicians to assist
in all kinds of healthcare needs. The new radiology center has all
of the latest equipment. The oncology/radiation department is
equipped to handle a variety of cancer treatments.
Sheridan medical facilities include Wystar, a residential drug and
alcohol treatment center. Several out patient programs exist in the
area, and Sheridan has a strong Alcoholics Anonymous
community with several weekly meetings. Sheridan is quickly
becoming a recovery center in the state of Wyoming.
The Sheridan VA Medical center is also a major employer in
Sheridan, with 400 employees. The VA has an excellent psychiatric
program for veterans, as well as extended and medical care. The
VA is situated on a 300 acre campus north of Sheridan and has
199 beds. Sheridan indeed has excellent medical facilities for a
