Wyoming Recreation
welcome to:

Wyoming recreation options vary from world class golf to the
purest forms of nature loving. For many – the best thing about
Wyoming is that there is a lot of land and not a lot of people. Even
though Wyoming is growing – the population could triple in size
and that would still be true. In Wyoming, there’s a whole lot of land
to spread out in.
Hunting is very popular in Wyoming, and there are several types of
game animals and birds to hunt. Wyoming currently manages and
has hunting seasons for Elk, Big Horn Sheep, Moose, Bear, Deer,
and Antelope. Hunters can go after several game bird species as
well, including Chukar, Quail, Sage Grouse, Pheasant, Doves, and
Ducks. Not only do residents in Wyoming enjoy hunting, but people
come from all over a world for a chance at Wyoming game
animals.
Winter and summer seasons provide Wyoming residents and
visitors with may forms of Wyoming recreation activities. Fishing
in the states streams, reservoirs, and lakes is excellent, and the
Wyoming Game and Fish Department does a great job managing
the various fish species. The area mountains of course provide a
fantastic playground for skiing, snow mobiling, hiking, mountain
climbing, or just plain relaxing in nature.
Modern forms of Wyoming recreation exist as well. Golf is very
popular in Wyoming, and there are several exciting and
challenging courses in the State. The Powder Horn in Sheridan is a
world class 27 hole course at the base of the Big Horn mountains.
The Powder Horn was named the best residential course by
Golfweek in 2007. Wyoming is a great place to live for those who
have worked hard all their life and are ready to relax, or for those
who work hard and play hard.
